The officers of Kvemo Karali main Division of Patrol Police Department –Levan Jaiani and Irakli Azmaiparashvili have foiled the fact of suicide and saved young woman’s life.
Operative Response Center 112 received report that young woman was about to jump in Mtkvari River in Rustavi. Patrol Police crew found out at the place that woman (DoB 1976) had jumped in the water already and was about to be drowned. Chief of platoon Levan Jaiani and his partner Irakli Azmaiparashvili did not wait for the rescuers and swam into the river and thus saved woman’s life.
Ambulance crew transferred woman to the hospital and at this stage her condition of health is satisfactory.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of bringing to the point of suicide, article 115 of the Criminal Code.
