Residents of Samtskhe-Javakheti voluntarily handed over firearms and armament to Samtskhe-Javakheti Regional Police Main Division of MIA. Citizens handed over the following arms and ammunition: 2248 bullets aimed for various types of weapons, 8 cut-guns, 57 hand grenades and various types of armament.
Overall the residents handed over: 8 cut-guns, 2248 bullets aimed for various types of weapons, 57 hand grenades, 3 rifles, 1 fuse, 2 signal rifles, 3 anti-tank grenades, 15 shells for missile, 3 cartridges and 1 missile.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of firearms, explosives and ammunition, article 236, I part of the Criminal Code.
