Director of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Guram Zesashvili, opened a new Police building in Samegrelo region, in the village of Sajijao, Khobi municipality.
Police building was built in accordance with modern standards and is attributed with the latest equipment. Up to date, there was no Police building in Sajijao. Police officers employed in the department will serve 5 villages of Khobi municipality. The building is equipped with workspaces for detectives and investigators, evidence storage rooms, as well as rest rooms for employees. The building is adapted for people with disabilities.
Renewal of Police infrastructure and the improvement of working conditions of the law enforcement officers is one of the main priorities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Therefore, in recent years, a number of new Police buildings have been opened throughout the country. Within the framework of the Criminal Police Reform, Ministry of Internal Affairs plans more infrastructural projects for the future.
