The detectives (operational) and investigative divisions of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of jointly conducted operational measures and investigative actions, arrested 2 citizens of Ukraine on charges of drug crimes.
Kh.Kh., born in 1998, and D.O., born in 1998, are charged with illegal purchase and storage of a particularly large amount of narcotic drugs and preparation for sale.
The committed crime envisions up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
During the personal search and search activities held in their vehicles of those arrested on charges of drug crimes, law enforcement officers also seized a particularly large amount of the narcotic drug “Methadone” - 50 packsages - from the location indicated by them.
As a result of the investigative actions, the police seized an electric scale and transparent polyethylene ziplock bags as evidence.
The investigation is in progress under Article 260, Part VI, Subparagraph “A” and Article 18-260, Part VII, Subparagraph “A” of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
