As a result of jointly conducted operational measures and investigative actions, officers of the Detectives (Operational) and Investigation Divisions of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested D.G., born in 1995, on charges of illegal purchase and storage of a large amount of narcotics.
The committed crime envisions up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
During the personal search and search activities held in residential home of the detainee, law enforcement officers seized a particularly large amount of the narcotic drug “Methadone” - 51 packages.
As a result of the investigative actions, the police also seized electric scales as evidence.
An investigation is underway into the illegal purchase and storage of a particularly large amount of narcotics under Article 260, Section VI, Subparagraph "A" of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
