Within the frames of “World Congress on CBRN Science and Consequence Management” MIA Emergency Situations Management Department along with the US European Command have conducted demonstrative, practical training at Richard Lugar healthcare Research Center. The training was held for the participants of the Congress. During the training CBRN team of MIA Emergency Situations Management Department has made a response to the simulated biological incident.
Members of the team have extracted evidences and samples from the “contaminated” area with special equipment. Members of the response team presented procedures connected with rendering help to the affected personnel and decontamination works within the frames of the training. Considering innovative and new approach and policy of MIA in connection with chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear hazards, “World Congress on CBRN Science and Consequence Management” is being held in Georgia on June 2-5 for the first time and hosted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
