World Police and Fire Games was launched with Judo tournament on July 14 in Brussels, Belgium. Georgian sportsmen have won: 2 gold, 6 silver and 3 bronze medals in toral.
Representatives of various MIA units have successfully participated in World Police and Fire Games.Ushangi Kuzanashvili has defeated his Russian contendor in 66 kg weight category and won the gold medal. In 73 kg weight category Mikheil Khomizuri has also defeated his Russian opponent and won the gold medal, while in heavy weight category (+100kg) Zviad Chinchaladze has won 2 silver medals in age category and general contest. In 100kg weight category Giorgi Bolotashvili has held two serious battles and became the owner of silver medal as well. In 81 kg weight category Nodar mTchedlishvili has also won silver medal. In the age category Gela Baratashvili won silver medal in 60kg weight category and bronze medal in general contest. In 90 kg weight category Tornike Gvenetadze won silver medal in age category while in general contest became the member of bronze medal in general contest.
Georgian sportsmen continue participation in World Police and Fire Games.
