As a result of operational measures and investigative actions, officers of Vake-Saburtalo Police Main Division of Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, based on a judge's ruling, arrested A.Ts., born in 1994, on charges of swindle.
The committed crime envisions up to 10 years of imprisonment.
The investigation established that A.Ts., together with the already convicted D.Ts., born in 1986, in 2020-2024, as the heads of the construction company "Sector 7", concluded contracts with citizens and sold premises in a residential building under construction. Despite the amount of sums received, they did not ensure the completion of the construction and the transfer of the premises into ownership.
As a result, a total of 161 citizens have been affected, and the cost of the damage amounted to 11 million GEL.
Law enforcement officers have arrested A.Ts. as a defendant, while additional charges will be brought against a member of the organized group, D.Ts., who is already serving a sentence.
The investigation is ongoing under Article 180, III and IV parts of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
