The officers of Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Didube-Chughureti, Vake-Saburtalo and Gldani-Nadzaladevi Police Main Divisions, as a result of operational measures and investigative actions conducted at different times, have arrested 5 persons on charges of drug crimes.
The following persons have been detained for the facts of illegal purchase, storage and sale of various types of narcotic drugs, the narcotic drug "marijuana" in a particularly large amount, preparation and attempt to sell narcotic drugs, as well as for the fact of illegal importation of narcotic drugs into Georgia: G.M., born in 1996, J.Ch., born in 1994, M.Gh., born in 2006, and previously convicted persons, M.G., born in 1970, and E.K., born in 2004.
The committed crimes envision to 20 years or life imprisonment.
As a result of the personal search and search activities of residential homes, law enforcement officers also seized narcotics from the locations indicated by them as evidence, especially large amounts of "cocaine", "dried marijuana", "methadone", and "mephedrone". An electric scale and polyethylene bags were also seized.
The investigation is ongoing under Articles 260 and 262, 273, 19-260 (3), 18-260 (3) of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
