Employees of the Patrol Police Department detained a citizen of the Republic of Turkey M.I. (DoB 1983) in Tbilisi. During his personal search, the law enforcement officers seized a firearm, a magazine and ammunition as evidence.
The employees of the detective division of Shida Kartli police department detained several times convicted in past T.K., (DoB 1992) in Gori. As a result of the search conducted in the house of the accused person, the law enforcement officers recovered a firearm, a magazine and ammunition cartridges.
Employees of Tbilisi Police Department arrested G.A. (DoB 1969) , in Tbilisi on charges of illegal purchase and storage of firearms and ammunition. During the search of his house, law enforcement officers seized 2 firearms and 23 cartridges as evidence.
As for M.N. (DoB 1974) Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Police Department arrested him in Poti on charges of illegal purchase and storage of firearms. During the search of his residential house, the police seized a firearm, a magazine and cartridges as evidence.
The investigation into the facts of illegal purchase, storage and carrying of firearms and ammunition is being conducted under the III and IV parts of Article 236 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
