As a result of recent operational measures and investigative actions, officers of the Patrol Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Tbilisi, Adjara and Imereti Police Departments have seized illegal firearms and ammunition - 10 people have been arrested.
The following persons have been arrested for the illegal purchase, storage and carrying of firearms and ammunition: Sh.B., born in 1984, O.B., born in 1996, G.K., born in 1990, and previously convicted persons: A.G., born in 1993, T.Ts., born in 1980, G.Sh., born in 1997, M.Kh., born in 1981. and foreign citizens: S.E., born in 1998, S.A., born in 1998, and E.Q., born in 2005.
The committed crimes envision up to 7 years in prison.
As a result of the personal search and search of their personal belongings, residential premises, and vehicles, law enforcement officers seized various types of firearms and ammunition as evidence - pistols, revolvers, hunting rifles, muzzles and cartridges.
The investigation is in progress under of Article 236, III, IV and V parts of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
