The officers of Adjra and Guria Police Departments, as a result of jointly held operative-search and investigative activities detained 5 persons: I.L. (DoB 1996), L.L. (DoB 2001), M.D. (DoB 1996), M.B. (DoB 1983) and I.D. (DoB 1992) in Ozurgeti, on the basis of the relevant court decision for illegal restriction of freedom with a previous consent and violence committed in group.
Committed crime envisages from 2 to 10 years of imprisonment.
Investigation established that detainees illegally restricted freedom to N.Dz. (DoB 1988) in Batumi on the basis of vengeance, in particular, detainees forced victim to get into vehicle operated by M.B. and took him to the direction of the house owned by certain Georgian citizen located in Bokhvauri village, Ozurgeti municipality, where the victim was physically assaulted.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal restriction of freedom with a previous consent and violence committed in group, article 143, III part, sub-paragraph “A” and article 126, I1 part, sub-paragraph “B” of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
