The officers of Imereti, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operative-search and investigative activities detained several times convicted in past –G.B. (DoB 1974) for premeditated murder.
Committed crime envisages from 7 to 15 years of imprisonment.
Investigation established that, based on conflict that took place on Rezo Tabukashvili street, Kutaisi G.B. inflicted lethal injury with a firearm to the bus driver –T.B. (DoB 1957) who died at the crime scene. During the incident, G.B. also wounded driver’s assistant – M.Ch. with a firearm and fled from the place of crime.
The wounded person was transferred to the hospital, where he was rendered first aid. At this moment his condition of health is not in danger.
As a result of immediate search and investigative activities, the offender was taken under arrest several minutes later after the crime took place. During the personal search of the detainee, law enforcers seized the weapon of crime – “Makarov” pistol with cartridge and 8 magazines as evidence.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of premeditated murder, article 108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
