As a result of operational measures and investigative actions, officers of Vake-Saburtalo Police Main Division of Tbilisi Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested I.T., born in 1995, on charges of causing grievous bodily harm on purpose.
The committed crime envisions up to 7 years of imprisonment.
The investigation established that on May 16 of the current year, the accused person physically assaulted B.O., born in 1998, in the vicinity of the New Sports Palace on University Street in Tbilisi, as a result of which B.O. fell and sustained a head injury. As a result of the incident, I.T. fled the scene, while the injured man was taken to the clinic, where he is receiving appropriate treatment.
As a result of the investigative actions conducted by law enforcement officers, the accused person was arrested few hours after the incident.
The investigation is underway under Article 117, Part I of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
