In Mtskheta-Mtianeti Municipality, the Emergency Situations Management Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs launched the process of evacuating citizens by Border Police helicopters in order to assist people stranded in the region due to heavy rains which caused the road blockage.
Citizens are evacuated from the villages of Korsha, Roshka, Barisakho and Chargli.
In order to evacuate citizens from the region to a safer place, the employees of the Fire and Rescue Department were immediately involved in the process, as well as the Border Police helicopter in the rescue operation.
