Firefighters of the Emergency Situations Management Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, along with the police forces and representatives of other relevant agencies, continue to work in emergency mode.
6 deployment sites have been created in Guria region. Emergency Situations Management Service headquarters are located at the deployment sites, where, along with firefighters, representatives of the defense, police forces and medical services are present. All relevant special equipment has been mobilized on site.
The aforementioned headquarters receive messages related to problems caused by heavy snowfall and respond accordingly, including both planning and implementing rescue operations, as well as visiting citizens in need of medical assistance.
Firefighters, along with police forces and representatives of other agencies, provided assistance to numerous citizens in difficult terrain conditions.
