In connection with the fact of kidnapping Ioseb Giorxelidze (DoB 1995), the officers of Central Criminal Police Department interrogated: former employee of MIA Constitutional Security Department Durmishkhan Ghvachliani (DoB 1962), former employee of MIA Special Operative Department Jemal Shonia (DoB 1977) and Aleksanadre Tchanturia (DoB 1978).
While conducting investigative experiment, Giorgi Kalgani pointed the place in the forest where cash and firearms were stored. Law enforcers seized 289 100 US dollars, two automatic weapons, 6 cartridges and 228 bullets, as wel as 4 hand grenade, 1 knife, 4 masks and 4 gloves. During the personal search of Durmishkhan Ghvachliani law enforcers seized 900 US dollars, marijuana, while “TT” type pistol was seized from Giorgi Kaldani as a result of the personal search.
During the investigative experiment Jemal Shonia named the building where they illegally restricted freedom of the victim. At the place of crime law enforcers seized pistol with silencer.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of hostage-taking by the group, illegal purchase and keeping of firearms and illegal purchase and keeping of drugs (articles 144, II part A and F sub-paragraphs, 236 I and II parts, 260 I part of the Criminal Code).
