In accordance with the decision made by the Interagency Coordination Council of the Government of Georgia, in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and to actively monitor the citizens, checkpoint of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was arranged in the village of Erisimedi, Sighnaghi Municipality, where employees of Emergency Situations Management Service arranged the field tent.
Based on the decision of the Interagency Coordination Council, citizens entering and leaving the village of Erisimedi are subjected to on-site thermal screening. They will be tested on the spot in case of necessity.
Law enforcers intensively conduct patrolling activities to protect public order and ensure safety in round-the-clock regime. The police are taking preventive measures along with the representatives of the National Center for Disease Control and local self-governing bodies.
Representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs inform the local population regarding the imposed restrictions, preventive measures and provide assistance to the population as much as possible.
