Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia Mr. Giorgi Mgebrishvili held a meeting with Mrs. Bettina Kadenbach, the Ambassador of Federal Republic of Germany in Georgia. The parties discussed the results of the first working visit of the Minister to Germany and the future plans of cooperation.
Mr. Giorgi Mghebrishvili and Mrs. Bettina Kadenbach reviewed the joint measures and the projects planned by Germany and Georgia in the law enforcement field which will further deepen the existing cooperation between two countries. The Minister of Internal Affairs mentioned the joint measures commenced for combat against crimes in cooperation with the German colleagues, the outcomes of which shall be soon available to the civil society.
The Minister of Internal Affairs and the Ambassador discussed the issues of strengthening the police cooperation and the innovation implemented in Georgian police system, including the application of the DNI database in investigation practice.
According to the Ambassador of Germany, Georgia is a reliable partner of Germany; Georgia is distinguished for its democratic development in the region which gives a great hope to Europe.
