Mr. Giorgi Gakharia, the Vice-Premier, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia held a meeting with Mr. Eloy Quiros Alvarez, the Commissary-General of Judiciary Police of the National Police Corps of the Kingdom of Spain
At the meeting, the sides emphasized the existing fruitful cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of Georgia and the Kingdom of Spain, which is implemented on the basis of international treaties.
Mr. Giorgi Gakharia and Mr. Eloy Quiros Alvarez have talked about the successful operations carried out jointly by the Georgian and Spanish law enforcers and the effective work-activities of the Georgian Police Attach in Spain.
Also, the sides discussed the importance of cooperation in readmission issues. As it was noted at the meeting, readmission requirements are completed by 100% by Georgian side.
The Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia informed the Spanish side about measures planned by the Government of Georgia in the direction of reduction of asylum seekers from Georgia, priorities of the Ministry, ongoing reforms and future plans.
