German media sources spread information on the large-scale operation jointly held by German and Georgian Interior Ministries as a result of which person, accused of murder which took place in 2013, Nurnberg was taken under arrest in Tbilisi.
Build-“Three years after murdering the elderly woman during the armed robbery, second offender was also detained. According to the prosecutor’s office he was caught into a police trap and will face charges in Georgia”.
Bavaria Radio -“30 year old man was detained on November 19 in Georgia. Criminal police established that the mentioned person was in Georgia. Prosecutor’s office asked Georgian colleagues for assistance. In 2016 Georgian side launched investigation against the mentioned person. 30 year old man is currently under arrest”.
Nordbayern- "Second accomplice of the “Morchutt Case” was wanted for three years. On Saturday Georgian Police managed to take him under arrest".
Official statement has been also released by Nurnberg Prosecutor’s Office on the detention operation held by Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs. According to the statement the successful completion of the search operation and instant launching of the investigation by Georgian law enforcement agency, is the result of the successful cooperation existed between Georgia and Germany.
