Patrol Police Departmend, within its competence, along with local self-governance agencies and relevant service of the Ministry of Environment Protection will ensure implementation of the new code “Waste Management Code”.
On January 15, 2015 new codex on waste management will be enacted. The code regulates regulates consumer, municipal, construction and other waste as well as storage, unloading and environment pollution issues. By means of implementation of the new code, environment will be no longer polluted.
According to the Waste Management Code drivers of the transport means will be fined in case of throwing various types of waste (cigarette, food waste and etc).
Patrol police is the agency which is responsible to foil such kind of action. Amount of fine will be 120 GEL. In case of throwing waste from the private transport the driver will bear punishment according to the new code. In case of committing such action in public transport the punishment will be addressed to the passenger.
Patrol Police Department will also make relevant response in case of utilizing the waste in innapropriate place or regulation.
