Director of Information-analytical Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Shalva Enukidze and representatives of the same Department attended 56th Incident Prevention and Reaction Mechanismsmeeting which weas also attended by the Georgian water supply company representative.
At the meeting sides made an emphasis on the situation connected with illegal process of installation of the barbed wires near the line of occupation, causing problems to the population residing on occupied and territories under the control of the central government. At the meeting the issue linked to Grigol Nalbandov (missing from 2008), Roman Shitikov (gone missing in previous year) and the case of Davit Basharuli who was found dead in 2014 nearby the Doliaani village of the occupied Akhalgori region.
At the meeting sides have also outlined the importance of conducting the clean-up and rehabilitation works on the Tiriponi canal, portion of which falls under the line of occupation. The clean-up and rehabilitation works will be carried out by the representatives of the de facto government. As a result, water for irrigation will be available for population living on both sides of the occupation line.
Next IPRM meeting will be held on July 30.
