Within the frames of the official visit, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Mr. Igor Shunevich visited Emergency Response Center 112. Guests got familiarized with the recent situation in Georgia in terms of the emergency management and received detailed information on the operation of the unified emergency number – “112”.
Minister of Internal Affairs of Belarus and members of delegation had an opportunity to be acquainted with the work specifics of the 112 stuff and were able to observe call reception and message processing at the center. Director of “112” Giorgi Bitchashvili arranged a tour in the building of the 112 center for the guests and handed out memorable gifts to the members of the delegation.
At the meeting sides pointed out the importance of enhancing mutual cooperation. Members of the delegation got interested with future plans and newly implemented services of the 112 center.
Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus expressed gratitude towards his Georgian counterpart and invited to Belarus with a return visit.
“Today, I want to thank my colleagues, who received me and my delegation with great hospitality. I want to express my gratitude personally towards the Minister for such a warm hosting. I am sure that by means of this meeting our ministries and our countries will be brought closer to each other in the future. I want to take this opportunity and invite Georgian colleagues in Minsk with a return visit”- stated Minister of Internal Affairs of Belarus.
