As a result of joint operative and investigative activities the officers of Special Operations and Counterinteligence departments of Mia detained citizens of Armenia Samvel V. (Dob 1965) and Harutun H. (Dob 1966) on the fact of illegal handling and transporting radioactive devices in the vicinities of Georgian-Armenian state border at “Sadakhlo” checkpoint.
Law enforcers seized radioactive material “Cesium 137” placed in the special contained made of lead.
In connection with the mentioned fact investigation was launched under the article 214 part IV and article 230 I part of Criminal Code of Georgia.( Inflow or outflow, in contempt of procedures radioactive material, and illegal handling and transporting radioactive devices).
