The officers of the Central Criminal Police Department along with Customs Department of the Revenue Service as a result of jointly held operative-investigative activities detained 3 persons: citizen of Brazil – Luisa Dos S. (DoB 1985) Karine E. (DoB 1980) and citizen of South African Republic Odette V. (DoB 1985) for illegal import of drugs in especially large quantities on the territory of Georgia.
The mentioned persons were detained at Tbilisi International Airport in an attempt to illegally import drugs in especially large quantities on the territory of Georgia. Police seized 4 kilograms and 794,68 gr of cocaine from Luisa Dos S. and Karine E. which was wrapped in 10 packages. While searching the luggage of Odotte V. 14 kg and 835 gr of marijuana was detected. Detainees have already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal import of drugs in especially large quantities on the territory of Georgia, article 262, IV part, sub-paragraph A of the Criminal Code.
