Minister of Internal Affairs Vakhtang Gomelauri attended the Parliamentary Trust Group sitting. The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Ministers of Internal Affairs - Aleksandre Darakhvelidze and Giorgi Butkhuzi.
Vakhtang Gomelauri discussed with the members of the Georgian Parliament issues related to already implemented as well as scheduled projects of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, state secrets and programs.
Along with the members of the Trust Group, the Minister of Internal Affairs reviewed the security issues of Georgia within the scope of the state border protection and situation along the line of occupation in parallel with the developments taking place in the region.
The meeting was held in a closed format for the media representatives. After the session, Vakhtang Gomelauri answered the journalists' questions.
"At the meeting of the Trust Group, various issues, including the direction of the border, as well as crime statistics were discussed. The topic of pipelines was also raised, which is very important for our country, such as the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyani pipeline, "- stated Vakhtang Gomelauri.
