The Special Tasks Department of the MIA Special and Emergency Measures Center held the official ceremony of taking the military oath by 245 recruits. After taking the oath the recruits sang the national anthem and demonstrated their combat skills. The ceremony was attended by the Director of the Special Tasks Department Police Lieutenant-Colonel Merab Malania, as well as other representatives of the Department and the Special and Emergency Measures Center. The event was also attended by the families of the recruits. At the end of the ceremony recruits were blessed by father Andrea.
Conscripts will undergo their one-year compulsory military service at the Special Tasks Department of the MIA Special and Emergency Measures Center. They will study military subjects and acquire essential practical skills of professional soldiers. They will also participate in local sport contests and will be provided with free medical service and nourishment. Recruits will also have short-term vacation. After the completion of the compulsory military service the conscripts having completed the service period with excellence shall be employed in different units of the MIA if they pass the relevant contest successfully.
