At the Ministry of Internal Affairs the presentation was held on social campaign -”Fasten the seatbelt” and special video prepared within the frames of the mentioned campaign was showed to guests. The event was attended by the Minister of Internal Affairs Aleksandre Tchikaidze, head of Patrol Police Department Davit Tsinaridze, his deputy Levan Matchavariani, experts- Shalva Ogbaidze, Davit Meskhishvili and celebrities from the video: Givi Berikashvili, Nika Machaidze, Robi Kukhianidze, Nato metonidze, Samori Balde and Ani Tkebuchava.
In order to raise awareness among society on road safety issues, the Ministry of Internal Affairs launched social campaign – “Fasten the Seatbelt”. Video prepared for the campaign will be aired by TV channels and radio station for two weeks, as well as at “Rustaveli” and “Amirani” cinemas. Celebrities in the video call upon the society to fasten seatbelts while driving and obey rules of traffic movement.
During the event, Deputy Head of Patrol Police Department familiarized guests with the recent statistics on reduction of fatal accidents thanks to the seat belts.
Within the frames of the social campaign special contest will be held in social network and authors of best design, photo and slogan will be revealed. Persons willing to participate in the contest must submit their materials to the face book page –“Fasten the Seatbelt”. As a result Ministry of Internal Affairs will reveal three best authors and award them with IPhone 5 mobile Phones.
