The MIA border policemen from the Land Border Defence Department carried out an operation and detained two citizens of Georgia on the territory of N2 Border Sector (Vale) of the MIA Border Police N2 Office (Akhaltsikhe) when they attempted to cross the State border of Georgia illegallyin groups. Investigation established that the suspects Mamuka B (DoB 1970) and Ilia M (DoB 1975) had been attempting to cross the State Border of Georgia illegally without official border control to the Republic of Turkey.
Investigation is ongoing on the above-mentioned fact according to the Criminal Code of Georgia, Article 19, 344, Part II, subparagraph A).
