The border policemen from the Coast Guard Department and Operative-Investigation Main Office of the MIA Border Police of Georgia had carried out joint operation and had detained a dry-cargo ship sailing under the flag of the Republic of Turkey “MUHAMMET GUMUSTAS-4” - on the charge of violation of the navigation rules in the Georgian territorial waters.
The captain of the “MUHAMMET GUMUSTAS-4”, the citizen of the Republic of Turkey, had been charged according to the Code of Administrative Offences of Georgia, Article 1141, Part I and had been imposed Gel 50 000 fine. The dry-cargo ship was allowed to sail unrestricted after her captain paid the imposed fine.
