The officers of Patrol Police Department of Mtskheta-Mtianeti Main Division alongside employees of Customs Department of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia detained the citizen of Russia Otar G. (DoB 1970) for inflow of explosives across the Customs Border of Georgia at Dariali Border Checkpoint.
As a result of searching activities carried out in the detainees-owned vehicle, “VAZ 3221“, law enforcers seized 180 tins of explosives – gunpowder, which according to expertise results contains 45280 gr of smokeless powder. The detainee has already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of inflow of explosives across the Customs Border of Georgia. (Article 214, part 4 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.)
