Four-day training within the scopes of the program “Flood Rescue Skills Improvement” was held in the Special Emergency Response Division of the Emergency Management Agency, MIA with the support and funding by the Embassy of French Republic in Georgia. The training was participated by 25 employees of Tbilisi Main Division, Special Emergency Response Division and Water Rescue Unit of the Main Division of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara. Participants discussed the importance of hydrology before flood and the structural sequence of rescue operations during flood. The training was conducted by the French expert Jean Frederic Biscoe.
At the end of training, Mr. Zviad Katsashvili, Director of the Emergency Situations Management Agency of the MIA and Renaud Salins, Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the republic of France in Georgia awarded the participants of training with the certificates.
