Mindia Lortkipanidze, Director of Special Tasks Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, hosted representatives of EUMM in Georgia at Shida Kartli Regional Division of Special Tasks Department and introduced the results of rebranding implemented in the department.
Within the framework of the EU commitments and ongoing reforms, the restructuring of uniforms, techniques and equipment in the Department of Special Tasks was carried out. Technologies of the European Standards have been introduced in Tbilisi as well as in all regional units of the Department, providing for law and public safety in the administrative border and adjacent occupied territories of the of the country.
As a result of the implemented reform, police forces of special tasks located on the occupation line have sharply expressed police signs.
Ongoing reforms in the Department of Special Tasks of the Ministry of Internal Affairs serve to implement contemporary standards in the field of public order and safety.
