The employees of the Expert-forensic Main Division under MIA were awarded with certificates at MIA Academy. Training participants completed “General Course in Crime Scene Investigation ”. 20 acting forensic-experts throughout Georgia participated in the five-day training. The training was organized by the U.S. Embassy’s Office of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL)
It should be noted, that the training was led by experts from Bureau of Investigation of the State of Georgia. Georgian forensic experts enhanced their qualification in evidence discovering, fixing and seizing, as well as crime scene protection. In the scope of the training, a course on methods of footwear and tire track evidence lifting was conducted. The experts also got familiarized with modern forensic technology. Special training – “Crime Scene Photography” was conducted in the frames of the training.
Expert-forensic Main Division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has been in close cooperation with Bureau of Investigation of the State of Georgia. As a result of the cooperation, Georgian specialists participate in the similar programs and exchange programs on the permanent basis.
