Representatives of the MIA Administration, General Inspection, Information-Analytical Department and Joint Operations Center went to Germany for the work visit within the frames of “Enhancing Migration’s management in Georgia” (ENIGMMA) with the support of International Center for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD).
Within the frames of the visit members of the MIA delegation took part in training dedicated to information safety at the law enforcement agencies and data protection issues.
Main topics of the training included: technical and procedure activities required for data protection, framework of the German legislation related to personal data processing, legal basis of open and closed video surveillance, legal issues related to the usage and extraction of the personal information within the frames of investigation, response mechanisms on violations and minor wrongdoings from the side of policemen and etc. training was held in interactive format.
Within the frames of the visit members of the Georgian delegation met with representatives of personal data protection office in Saxony- Bernadr Banasch and Mario Osvald. At the meeting representatives of the Ministry of Interior of Saxony and General prosecutor’s office held presentations.
Georgian law enforcers also visited criminal police of Saxony as well as general prosecutor’s office, federal border police, where they were introduced to the work specifics.
