Within the frames of the bilateral coordination between the Ministry of Internal Affairs and State Security Service, structural units of the mentioned agencies conducted joint exercise against terrorism, organized crime and CBRN threats.
The exercise was attended by the Minister of Internal Affairs – Giorgi Mgebrishvili, Head of State Security Service- Vakhtang Gomelauri representatives of embassies accredited in Georgia and diplomatic corps, as well as other officials.
The exercise aims at enhancing coordination between relevant units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and State Security Service, boosting operation and management efficiency and improving public security control as well as promoting fight against crime.
Special Tasks Department under MIA, Expert-criminalistics Department under MIA and Emergency Situations Management Agency, De-mining and counterterrorism operations units of Special Operations Department under State Security Service participated in the exercise.
Upon the conclusion of the exercise, special equipment, weapons and various types of equipment were exhibited for the guests of the event.
