Friendly football match was held between the teams of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and Embassy of the United States to Georgia. The MIA team achieved victory. The first goal was scored by Prime-Minister of Georgia Irakli Gharibashvili.
Those in attendance included Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia Vakhtang Gomelauri as well as other officials and representatives of the Ministry, Ambassador of the United States of America to Georgia Richard Norland, acting DCM Courtney Austrian, representatives of Regional Security Office (RSO), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, Resident Legal Advisor and Political-Economic departments officials and as well as Public Relations office and other representatives.
Prime-Minister of Georgia Irakli Gharibashvili and Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia Vakhtang Gomelauri addressed the attendees. Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia granted Ambassador of the United States of America to Georgia Richard Norland with a symbolic gift and expressed gratitude for fruitful cooperation. For Richard Norland, this event was the last one as the Ambassador of United States to Georgia. He leaves Georgia on July 17th.
Before the match US Ambassador Richard Norland awarded representatives of the embassy and Central Criminal Police Department for successfully held joint investigative activities, in particular:

US Ambassador awarded the Head of MIA Public Relations Department Nino Giorgobiani with the Certificate of Appreciation.
Captain of MIA football team was the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Archil Talakvadze, while the team was comprised of the Head of Central Criminal Police Department Ivane Papiashvili and representatives of the same Department. The team of the US embassy was led by the Captain John Renuard, military attach, while the team was comprised of the marines and representatives of the Embassy.
