Under the initiative and organization of the Ministry of Internal Affairs along with Ministry of Education and Science the meeting was held at MIA Academy with pupils of N210 public school within the frames of informative-educational project-“Maintenance of law and crime prevention program for public schools". School pupils were hosted by Nodar Saakashvili- head of patrol police faculty of MIA academy.
Head of the faculty explained that from May1 Ministry of Internal Affairs launched informative-educational campaign, aimed at informing public on forms of relations with law enforcement agencies and on citizens’ rights provided by the law, crime prevention among youth by promoting development of the public awareness in the field of law and security.
During the meeting pupils from senior classes got interested how future police officers are being trained, what programs are taught at the Academy and what knowledge is required for becoming police officer. Academy representatives provided comprehensive answers to all questions, made a presentation on “Study Process of the Academy” which includes both bachelor’s and master’s programs. At the end of the presentation pupils had an opportunity to tour around the academy and view the infrastructure.
It is notable that informative-educational project-“Maintenance of law and crime prevention program for public schools" has entered the active phase and implemented at schools of the capital and regions, including ethnic minority schools. For the pupils of senior classes tours will be arranged to various MIA units, in particular: Service Agency, Emergency Situations Management Agency, Border Police, Emergency Response Center “112”, Expert-Forensic Main Division, Special and Emergency Measures Center and MIA Academy.
