The officers of the Search Division of the Main Division for Combat Organized Crime of the Central Criminal Police Department of the MIA as a result of investigative activities detained Archil A. (D.o.B.: 1958) in Tbilisi for illegal purchase and keeping of firearms and ammunition.
During the search of a detainee`s house the law enforcers seized “Nagan” system unregistered revolver, Makarov construction unregistered pistol, Browning model unregistered pistol, 1 explosive detonator and 518 bullets designated for various types of weapons. Also 2 revolvers disassembled in parts, 4 pistols and 6 rifles are seized; the weapons are being subjected to the examination.
The investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of firearms and ammunition (Article 236, parts II of the Criminal Code of Georgia).
