The officers of the VII Unit of Old Tbilisi Police Division of the MIA as a result of the operative-searching activities detained Davit M. (D.o.B.: 1976) in Tbilisi, Kostava street for illegal carrying of firearm and ammunitions.
During the personal search of the detainee policemen seized “Makarov” system unregistered pistol, 1 cartridge and 8 bullets. According to the expert report the firearm and the ammunition seized are suitable for shooting. Detainee has already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal carrying of firearms (article 236, III part of the Criminal Code of Georgia).
