The officers of Mukhrani police station of Samtskhe-Javakheti Regional Main Division as a result of operative-investigative activities detained Giorgi M. (DoB 1988) lasha A. (DoB 1983) for illegal carrying, transporting and making of explosive materials and appliances.
Law enforcers detained Giorgi M. on the while moving on the road near to the Mukhrani village. Police seized explosive materials in his vehicle and ascertained that detainee was heading to the direction of his house. Police seized 1kg and 824 gr of Trinitrotoluene (TNT) and other appliances needed for explosion.
Police ascertained that explosives were granted to Giorgi M. as a gift by his friend- Lasha A. residing in merevi village, Tchiatura, who obtained the mentioned explosives several years ago.
As a result of operative activities police detained Lasha A. in Rustavi. Both of the detainees have pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal carrying, transporting and making of explosive materials and appliances, article 236, II and III parts of the Criminal Code.
