The MIA Border Police Operative-Investigation Main Office, Patrol Police Department and Customs Department of the Revenue Service carried out special joint operation and detained 15 citizens of the Republic of Somali, 1 citizen of the Republic of Turkey and 1 – of Georgia on the territory of N1 Border Sector (Sarpi) of the MIA Border Police N1 Office (Batumi) The investigation established that the suspects, the citizens of turkey and Georgia, had been attempting to smuggle 15 citizens of the Republic of Somali over the State Border of Georgia illegally without official border control to the direction of the Republic of Turkey.
The Border Police Operative-Investigation Main office is carrying out investigation on the above-mentioned fact according to the Criminal Code of Georgia, Article 19, 344, Part II, Sub-paragraph A and Article 19, 3441, Part II, Sub-paragraph B.
