Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Besik Amiranashvili along with director of the Central Criminal Police Department Davit Natriashvili took part in “Organized Crime Coordinators Network- Law Enforcement, Exchange of Information”.
At the conference parties discussed operative case analysis as well as ongoing international operative cases led along with the EU member states.
The conference was attended by Ernst Geiger, Head of Criminal Police Department of the Federal Ministry of Interior, Pol Marouschek, Head of Analytical Department of the aforementioned service, representative of the Organized Crime Bureau, East Europe unit-Alois Zorweg as well as representatives of National Central Bureaus of Interpol and Criminal Police Departments of Moldova, Ukraine, Belarus, Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Georgia is one of the main partner countries from Caucasus region, which got involved in EU project on international police cooperation. The project envisages cooperation between the countries of the region, as well as exchange of information, illegal money circulation control and coordination in the process of arresting offenders. The project will also further enhance operative cooperation and initiation of the joint investigations.
