The Main Division Combating Organized Crime of the Central Criminal Police Department along with Tbilisi Police Department of the MIA on September 3 and 4, 2016 carried out number of significant investigative and operative-searching activities.
In particular, the officers of the Division for fight Criminals Underworld detained in Tbilisi G.K. (DoB: 1990). During the personal search of a detainee the law enforcers seized a pistol with a cartridge and 4 bullets; also, probably, drug containing 4 white color pills and 2 pieces of white pills; the relevant chemical expertise is designated. As a result of a search of a vehicle driven by G. K. the law enforcers seized 24 bullets. The drug test revealed the fact of abuse marijuana and subotex. The investigation is in progress under the 2nd and 3rd parts of the Article 236 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
In parallel the above mentioned investigative activities, the officers of the Special Cases Division of the Main Division for Fight against Organized Crime of the Central Criminal Police Department detained in Tbilisi previously multiply convicted N.N. (DoB: 1989). During the search of a detainee`s apartment the law enforcers seized firearm – pistol and 7 bullets. The investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and storage of firearms (part II of the Article 236 of the Criminal Code of Georgia).
The officers of the Detectives Division of Tbilisi Police Department as a result of investigative activities carried out on the basis of operative information detained previously convicted G.P. (DoB: 1986). During the search of a detainee`s apartment the law enforcers seized machine gun with a cartridge, 30 bullets and 1 package of narcotic substance; the chemical expertise of the mentioned substance is scheduled. The investigation is in progress under the part II of the Article 236 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
