The officers of Gldani-Nadzaladevi Division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs as a result of operative-investigative activities detained Nika B. (DoB 1994) for assaulting a policeman.
The investigation established that Nika B. in the hall of the metro station “Akhmeteli Theatre” inflicted several injuries to the employee of the patrol police officer Irakli S. fulfilling his official duties and tried to escape. The wounded patrol-inspector managed to stop and detain the accused. Currently the health condition of Irakli S., the employee of the Patrol Police, is critical.
Mr. Giorgi Mghebrishvili, the Minister of Internal Affairs came to see the wounded police officer in the hospital.
The investigation is in progress on the fact of Assault against Police Officer or Other Government Representative (part 3 of the Article 3531 of the Criminal Code of Georgia).
