The officers of Second Main Division of Central Crirminal Police Department of MIA as a result of operative-investigative activities detained Ruslan G. (DoB 1981) and Elvin K. (DoB 1986) for production and selling of forged currency.
During the searching activities of Ruslan G. law enforcers seized 50 forged hundred dollar banknotes, as well as searching activities held in the house of house of Elvin K. Police seized 45 forged hundred dollar banknotes. Investigation established that detainee planned to sell above mentioned banknotes in Georgia and Ukraine.
According to the results of expertise 95 hundred dollar notes do not match with banknotes issued by the US Federal Reserve Bank. Forged banknotes were made by means of the colored copy machine.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of production and selling of forged currency, article 212, I part of the Criminal Code.
