The officers of Vake-Saburtalo Police Division as a result of operative-searching and investigative activities detained Varlam M. (DoB 1983) for the armed assault.
Investigation established that detainee assaulted “Procredit Bank” located on Chavchavadze Street, Tbilisi with firearm, appropriated 15000 GEL, 9000 USD, 5000 EU and left the crime scene. Law enforcers detained the accused person in his house several hours later. Weapon of crime was also seized by police.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of armed assault, article 179, I part of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
