The officers of Gardabani police division of Kvemo Kartli Regional Main Division, as a result of searching and investigative activities held on the basis of operative information detained Giorgi Q. (DoB 1991) for illegal purchase and keeping of firearms.
Law enforcers detained Giorgi Q. on the territory of Nagebi village in the attempt to flee with the vehicle of co-villager in order to get rid of the illegal weapon.
During the personal search of the detainee law enforcers seized Kalashnikov automatic weapon with one magazine and 21 bullets.
Detainee has already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of firearms, article 236, I and II parts of the Criminal Code.
