The officers of the Main Division for Combat Illegal Circulation of Drugs of the Central Criminal Police Department as a result of the searching and investigative activities carried out on basis of the operative information detained Dali S. (DoB. 1965) in Tbilisi International Airport for drug related crime.
During the personal search of the detainee the law enforcers seized 67 drug pills, which according to an expertise decision contained buprenorphine.
The investigation established that the detainee purchased the drug in Turkey and imported it to Georgia illegally.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase, keeping and illegal import to Georgia of drugs in particularly large quantities (Article 260, part VI, sub-clause “a”, Article 262, part IV, sub-clause “a”).
